TOKYO – Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the release of two new COOLPIX L-series digital cameras. L-series cameras combine the simple operation and functions that make using a digital camera enjoyable. The COOLPIX L120 is a high-power zoom model offering 21X optical zoom, adjusted via the side zoom control, and a high-definition LCD monitor in an elegant design. The COOLPIX L23 is an entry-level model with enhanced automatic functions that enable simple operation, making shooting easier and more enjoyable.



The COOLPIX L120 is successor to the L110. It offers an effective pixel count of 14.1-million pixels, a 21X optical zoom NIKKOR lens that covers a broad range of focal lengths from wide-angle 25mm through super-telephoto 525mm (35mm format equivalent), and a 3-inch, approximately 921k-dot (VGA) TFT LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. In addition, new features to improve the performance of this high-power zoom L-series model, including a new side zoom control and flash pop-up button, have been adopted without any sacrifice to the elegant design or compact size.
Further, the power-efficient The COOLPIX L120 is capable of capturing approximately 330 still images or roughly three hours and five minutes of HD movies with stereo sound using the supplied AA alkaline batteries.


The COOLPIX L23 allows for the capture of beautiful photos with simple operation through features such as an effective pixel count of 10.1-million pixels, a built-in 5X optical zoom NIKKOR lens, and the Easy Auto shooting mode. What's more, additional features such as the large and clear 2.7-inch, approximately 230k-dot (QVGA) TFT LCD monitor and support for common AA batteries that can be purchased just about anywhere make this compact camera extremely easy to operate, even for beginners.
